From what I’ve seen from DI it seems that they don’t have any limit like that. And even if you want to pay for more time there’s a cap for that. Like daily tasks maybe take 10 to maybe 20 minutes. Great response but one other thing I would like to add is that Genshin intentionally limits how much time you can actually play per day with its resin system. If D:I made a whole new class that was pay only to unlock, would that be content to you? Like you said, you may disagree, but maybe that example is convincing in some respect, at least to help see different perspective. If Genshin released a new BIS character that you could ONLY get by paying and was locked out from P2W players entirely, there would be insane outcry for "locking content behind paying". But again, at least F2P can still unlock them in Genshin in a predictable and reasonable timeline. So it's still selling content to me because characters are a major aspect to what and how you play. Even though you can easily acquire these F2P, you wont be able to get it all. $$ can only buy you more characters and extra duplicates of those characters to unlock new minor abilities for them. One comparison that helps define it for me would be Genshin Impact. And the only reason for that would be to see big number, there aren't even leaderboards. In Genshin if you have one maxed out 5* DPS, there is not much more to spend money on to reach a higher cap. And the whaling systems are even more expensive and directly related to more power. In Genshin people pay for waifus, alternative skill sets in battle and min-maxing your stats. There are a few dungeons that are basically there to test your power, but they are a very small part of the content and are only related to long-term progression which is there mostly for fun and not really needed for other content. It scales to your level anyway and you can even make it easier. Most of the content (quests & exploration) is not gated by power. Genshin does have the gambling / gacha issue of exploiting vulnerable people to spend way too much money.īut other than that you can do all content as a free-to-play player. I have played Genshin up to a year, while spending 5$ a month for the gem pass and a few battle passes. Last updated at 14:00:17 UTC Weekly Help Desk RAGE Loot Thread Trade Thread
